Nothing is more important to me than seeing people reach the right work-life balance for them. Quite simply life is too short.
Everyone is different… and everyone needs a different balance.
As your coach I faciliate a process that supports you in designing your balance. I ask questions and provide exercises that encourage different ways of thinking.
If you think coaching is right for you, or want some help to decide, then please get in touch to book your discovery session.
The discovery session carries no obligation and provides the perfect opportunity to get answers to any questions you have. There’ll be no ‘hard sell’ I promise – it’s not my style and there’s no point, coaching simply doesn’t work if both parties aren’t completely committed.
How do I work?
» I always start with a discovery session which can be done face-to-face or over the phone. This gives us both chance to work out what you want from your coaching programme and confirm that we will work well together.
» During the discovery session we will design your coaching programme. This might be anything from a couple of sessions to a couple of months or more of on going support. You are unique and your coaching programme needs to be equally unique to work for you.
» Once we get going we will work with both exercises and conversations to work out your ideal balance. We will set goals, identify challenges and create achievable action plans.
» I will offer focus and support every step of the way.
What exactly is Work Life Balance Coaching?
» It is a process for people who want to make a change, have time to focus on the future and are prepared to take action and invest time in making the change.
» It is for those who are ready to be honest (with themselves), let go of anything that might be holding them back, and who are prepared to take action.
» It starts with designing your future and identifying your priorities.
» It helps you find your balance, create a plan and supports you in taking positive action to make it a reality.
» It gives you confidence in what you’re doing and where you’re going through its identification and use of values and priorities.
» It is a process to help you understand where you are now, clarify where you want to be and work out what steps are needed to get there.
» It uses powerful questioning techniques which teach you more about yourself by uncovering values, beliefs, talents and desires.
» Coaching can be conducted face-to-face or over the phone and can last from a couple of hours to a couple of months or more.
What do you, my coach, do?
» As your coach I want to see you succeed in creating the future that you have designed.
» I will ask powerful questions and offer insightful exercises.
» I will help you understand yourself better including how and why you think and feel the way you do.
» I will listen with an open mind, I will not judge or advise.
» I will challenge you in a way that people close to you can find difficult.
» I will always remain objective, supportive and keep you focused on where you want to be.
» I expect you to take complete responsibility for your life and your ability to shape it and be totally committed to the process.
» I will design a tailored programme for you during the discovery session; coaching programmes must match your style and situation to be effective; it definitely isn’t a case of ‘one size fits all’.
» My coaching style is relaxed, confident, sincere, focused and positive.
My personal coaching beliefs
» I will only work with people I believe will truly benefit from coaching.
» Coaching focuses on the future. I will not try to resolve problems from the past (that is for qualified counsellors).
» My client is the expert in their life. I am in no position to advise, judge or ‘take sides’. I will never patronise.
» The coach-client relationship must be open and honest. Mutual feedback is an essential part of this.
